Good morning Jonathan and newsletter writers. I must say I concur two hundred percent with Gail Brenner’s article. In fact, I’d like to add something by way of a little story that illustrates what Gail is saying. At bottom she’s speaking about what’s sometimes called “manifesting potential”. Here’s the story. Imagine you get up at midnight one night, thirsty as a duck in the desert. Where are you headed? The kitchen of course. For what reason? To manifest potential. Yep. It’s called “getting water from the tap”. And it illustrates something about “manifesting potential” that pertains to our lives…..as Gail points out in her article. Which is? Potential is always held back by an “inhibiting force”. In your kitchen water under pressure (potential) is held back by that pesky tap. To manifest water, you have to take away the force holding it back, by opening the faucet. Same holds with manifesting our passions. We must learn what forces keep them from flowing. If we do, what Gail says happens. Namely….they come to us…we don’t go to them. Sadly though, hardly anyone realizes their passions aren’t “out there” anywhere. Nor do they know what’s holding them back. Ciao Jonathan and thanks Gail for that really insightful article. John Duffield

Hello,
I enjoyed reading Gail’s article, and do agree with most of it.
However, I do not agree with the statement that says: “Finding our passion is not in our control.”
Everything within us is in our control. We are in total control of how we think, feel, act, and react.

Passion isn’t out there to go to or to come to us, passion is within ourselves; thus totally within our control to pay attention to or to ignore.

Passions may change over the years, and that’s because we have grown up and have started to think differently. New passions may grow out of life’s experiences. So pay attention to your everyday life. Pay attention to what your thinking and feeling. But remember even your feelings start with a thought and that thought is under your total control. Nobody can force you to think a certain way without your permission.
